Day Of The Funeral - Freephone 0800 0837634

Let us Call You Back

The Funeral Ceremony is the culmination of the work that has taken place since the death of a loved one occured.

Our Funeral Directors will be in attendance throughout the proceedings, to ensure the smooth running of service and other arrangements which have been made. They will take on the role of master of ceremonies, carrying out the task of guiding, directing and overseeing the funeral.

Transport For the Day

Transport For the Day

The traditional method of transport on the day of the funeral involves the hearse which is the lead car and then the cars which follow behind, all which are known as the Cortege. When arranging the transport for the day, there may be other options that you may wish to think about.

This can include:
  • Will the cortege be a traditional or horse-drawn hearse?
  • Where will the cortege start from?
  • What route will the cortege take?
  • How many cars will be needed?
  • Where will everyone return to afterwards?

Bearing The Coffin

Bearing The Coffin

Instead of our staff bearing the coffin, a lot of families decide that they wish to bear or carry the coffin of their loved one. The bearers can be anyone you wish and can easily be organised with the funeral director.

Eulogies

Eulogies

A Eulogy is when someone says a few words at the service which helps remeber that person by paying a tribute to their lives. It may invlove a short speech, poem or passage.

The number of people that will be permitted to do an eulogy will be at the discretion of you and your family and can be discussed further with your funeral director.

Catering

Catering

People sometimes offer refreshments to the guests after the funeral has taken place. If you decide to do this, then you need to arrange where the refreshments will be provided and who will provide them. You may decide to offer these refreshments at your home, or at a venue which is close to where the funeral is taking place. Either way, if you feel that you are unable to make the arrangements yourself, then our funeral directors can assist you with this and help.

Our funeral directors have the necessary experience and can advise you on all of the arrangements that you wish to make. To speak with one of our funeral directors, then do not hesitate to contact us on 0800 0837634 or alternatively for a number of different contact options then take a look at our contact page.
