The cost of the funeral depends on a number of circumstances and what you choose to have done for your loved one. To try and simplify things, the cost of the funeral falls into three categories.
These are:
- Cost of items such as the coffin or casket and the memorial.
- The funeral directors fee, which includes the hire of vehicles and the planning with third parties such as the local council.
- Payments by us which are made to the local authorities on your behalf.
The payments which are made by us to the local authorities on your behalf are known as disbursements. This include's Doctors fees, Crematoria or Cemetery fees, Parochial fees, Newspaperc announcements, Printing and Catering.
The written estimates that we provide for you will detail the approximate cost of any disbursements. However, as we have no direct control over these charges, there could be slight variations from the original estimate that we provide you with.
However, for rare circumstances such as the loss of a child or baby, then some items do not have to be paid for, for example, the coffin or casket.
